About Me

I am an international award winning photographer/digital artist.
After my early retirement as a software engineer in 2008, I was free to pursue my passion for photography and digital artistry. After taking a couple of photography courses at Middlesex Community College, I was "hooked" on all aspects of digital photography and traveled all over New England photographing people, places and things. It wasn't till a couple of years later that I discovered studio photography and the science of artificial lighting. That was it for me ... I had found the creative harbor that I was looking for and Adobe Photoshop would be my most valuable tool.
I now have a residential studio in Billerica which is well-equipped with professional-grade strobe lighting. I have experimented with various types of lighting but have almost exclusively preferred hi-key lighting (all white background). The majority of my photo shoots are with female models who have an interest in modeling as a primary or secondary career and are in need of high quality images for their portfolios. Usually there is no fee involved, but rather an exchange of a model's time for my professionally retouched images. I may use images from photo shoots as entries into camera club competitions or as posts in social media. I allow models to post images any place they want to, provided they do not alter them in anyway.
